Abstract: This method controls the fall armywormSpodoptera frugiperdaby applying Bacillus thuringiensis aizawai (Bt) directly to pest eggs. By targeting the embryonic phase, the bacterium eliminates larvae before hatching, preventing crop damage. The approach offers a biological, selective, and non-polluting alternative compatible with both conventional and organic farming, reducing pesticide dependence and supporting sustainable maize cultivation.
